Hi everyone and the news from the Ash Belt this week is Glasgow Airport is shut, so glad I'm not needing it but I feel sorry for all those affected by the current crisis.
It can't be much fun being stranded in paradise when you are spent up, have two screaming kids and are having to doss down in the airport as your hotel kindly asked you to vacate the premises!
Well... my company HP has finally announced we are all on 90 days consultation for redundancy so the PACE people have been back in and predictably are dithering over whether we can actually get any of the promised funding at all.
Sorry but it makes me puke the way they backtrack on all their promises especially when the Uni I attend is overflowing in foriegn students, one in particular is in my IT Project Management class, hails from Nigeria, can hardly speak the language and has no idea of what is going on in the lectures as is patently obvious from the dumb ass questions she comes out with.
She is a long term resident of the Uni and was in 2 of my classes last year,niether of which she completed nor did she hand in any of the required coursework at the due date.
Anyway the upshot of the 90 days thing is that at the end of it they can tap you on the shoulder at any time, hand you a cheque and boot you out so fun months ahead it seems!
It's nice to see some old faces back around here and Jeff and Clare I really hope you get your flights ok as for me it's back off to the studies as more exams are on their way!
