george-michael-514.jpgONE imagines that when George Michael, he of the grey designer stubble and penchant for sleep-driving, gave 400 free tickets for his concert to Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust and another 620 to Plymouth Primary Care Trust, they were meant as a thank you to the nurses for the care his mother had received before her death in 1997.

Well, according to the Mirror, a large number of the tickets for his Plymouth gig were hijacked by the Trusts admin staff.

Admin snatched hundreds, says a livid nurse. And shes not the only one But she is the only one quoted in the paper.

However, in true bureaucratic fashion, the Trusts replied to the criticism, saying that the pop superstar had requested that the tickets go to all staff.

So did the parking attendants, cafeteria staff, flower sellers and cleaners also get to go? One imagines not.

Actually, when you come to think of it, it is utterly sad. If i was George i would find this so childish..pffff..... he just gave tickets to NHS, or whatever it is called in the UK, and it is very simple, that applies to the whole of that group, to all the staff i guess. And now he has to read this kind of stuff...it's like giving out a box of candies to children and they start to fight over who got more candy and who did not. Very very very childish. And i think this also reflects in the answer Ruthie got to go back and varnish her nails.
I am very very grateful that people want to be a nurse. But what's the point in choosing this profession if afterwards you feel sorry for yourself all the time, if all the time you want to complain about how hard your job is etc.... It is hard, it earns little money, but you know that from the beginning. The only good thing would be a better remuneration for their job, but that is up to politics, and meantime they are having catfights over George Michael tickets....

it is a vocation your right but they choose to do it i agree with the fact all nhs staff work tirelessly 24hrs a day 7 days a week with little thanks or recognition and to fight this way is childish, **** happens get over it and i wish they would stop using that picture its minging we see daily how hard our ruthie works lol lol lol she is never off sick is she

lol yes ruthie shut it lol lol only kidding hun ....... i just wish theyd shut up cos all they do is make it look bad for george in the press dont they, the poor guy cant to right for wrong these days ? even a simple gesture like this is torn to ****e !! no offence to anyone who works for the nhs (including my best mate ) as u all know im enternally gratefull for all the treatment ive recieved over the years but if all there going to be is bitter and ungrateful maybe george will think about giving tickets away to a different proffion next time, most of the bloody country "works hard" !!!! tut tut i cant bear the fact they ran to the press about this, its pathitic ....... (sorry about ****e spelling ) lol lol
