Thought you might all care, since it was a subject close to George's heart, but the 5 Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor who were held in Libya and sentenced to death, having been convicted of deliberately infecting a number of children with HIV are now FREE! Unfortunately, it is not all good news as the doctor is alleging torture during the 8 years they were held, torture which involved the nurses too. He is adamant that the shocking sanitary conditions in the hospital were the real source of the infections.

No winners here; only some very sick kids and traumatised medical staff, but at least those medical staff who put their own comforts to one side to try to help some of the most needy are now back home.
