Sad, sad news. I stayed up half the night watching it unfold and the final confirmation. I had purchased tickets in the first round of sales for September and my daughter was very excited about seeing him and loaded all his songs on her mp3 player so that she could learn all the words. Shame we aren't going to be able to see him.
Although very sad, I must agree with what jeff said next door. My main thought was OMG , thank god it wasnt OUR GEORGE

Like you Debs I stayed up half the night watching it unfold on CNN and Sky and can't help but think he went too soon. The most charismatic and inovative star of our generation is no more. For all his faults Michael was a revolutionary in the music business, a true genius who redefined dance for millions of us, pioneered the music video and broke records the world over bringing his immense talent to bear on world issues like poverty and Aids. He was never convicted of anything, despite repeated allegations, was robbed blind by lawyers but still bounced back to announce his final series of concerts in London that will now sadly never take place. His legacy is astounding by anyones standards 13 number one singles, 19 Grammy Awards including a record breaking 8 in one night, 22 American Music Awards and 12 World Music Awards. The biggest selling single album of all time Thriller with to date 109 million copies sold, the biggest selling double album of all time HIStory with 20 million copies sold to date, twice inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame and donater of millions to over 39 charities. Michael sold over 750 million records in his career, a staggering amount for any artist. Michael was truly the King of Pop,the King is dead, long live the King..........
